Armistice Centenary: the tribute of the Parish of Thornton-le-Moors with Ince and Elton

On the eve of the centenary marking the signing of the Armistice that brought to a close the hostilities in the First World War, a special display has been unveiled in St. James' Church, Ince.

On the eve of Remembrance Sunday 2018, the tribute of our Parish of Thornton-le-Moors with Ince and Elton, was revealed in St James’ church, to those who gave their lives that we might be free.

Thank you to all those who took part in knitting our beautiful poppies, particularly our weekly 'Knit and Natter' Group.
